Unsuccessful Hacker Attack: The Big Time!

What does it mean when a website or blog is hacked for the first time? Has the site stirred up the competition or put a dent in their earnings? Was the hacker a beginner and looking for any target? Who knows?

It’s one of those petty inconveniences in the online world you must be prepared for. Off-site security? Check. External hard drive? Check. Daily backup? Check. Other stuff you won’t divulge? Check, check, check.

Somebody hacking this site is probably not very good at it. If they failed to crack, say, Coca Cola’s website, that’s understandable. Coca Cola has the best IT professionals a corporation can buy. There probably aren’t many hackers who could penetrate the Coke site.

I’m pretty sure a consummate professional hacker could hack into over 90% of small business websites with little problem. But why? What could they get by knowing about ‘Aunt Mindy’s Tofu Meatloaf Recipe’?

This kind of waste of time is just another small business challenge to conquer. So an entrepreneur must work another 30 minutes, maybe more, to again change passwords and go through the BS of non-productivity, just because some clown tried to hack their small business website.

Hackers are the cyber equivalent of spoiled children with too much time on their hands and too much of Mommy and Daddy’s money to spend. They contribute nothing to society and their friends are most likely as worthless. They’re the clowns who live at home in their 30s, in the basement with all their high tech toys, no job, and no romantic interest.

Maybe one day they’ll mature and see that this is a life path which leads nowhere. In the meantime, they’re a pain in the ass, they’re wasting my time and costing me money. But they won’t beat me or defeat me. I’ll fight back. I’ll be damned if they’ll deter me from my goals and from serving my clients.  Screw ‘em.
